Serum has these all too and is a more friendly UI to customize and make your own sounds in. There isn’t really anything in it that’s ground breaking that I know of. The value proposition is more expensive than a DAW and you can even just get by with stock sounds and effects most times. It would be great if they did tiers too to let people in easier.

Each preset is designed by a pro sound designer so they will be varied techniques used throughout which is why people probably don’t tweak the presets too often. Samplers such as Halion and Falcon do everything Omnisphere can (and more), and you must be willing to import your own samples or interact with theirs to get the most value out of it. If you remove its massive sample library, much of its core functionality can be replicated by plugins you might already own. While groundbreaking back the day, Omnisphere’s architecture is slow and aging. Omnisphere isn’t without its quirks, and I highly suggest auditioning it before buying.
